Associate Director of Communication Design
Amy is a seasoned global health communications strategist with more than 13 years of experience developing campaigns that drive visibility, impact, and stakeholder alignment. At Cognition, she leverages deep expertise in designing and leading integrated strategies that elevate complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in primary health care, health systems strengthening, reproductive health, nutrition, and maternal and child health.
She has led communications strategies for programs ranging from $7M to $400M, partnering with national ministries, foundations, multilaterals, and private-sector organizations to deliver data-driven messaging, digital content, and cross-channel campaigns. Known for connecting the dots between teams, audiences, and insights, she creates communications that are human-centered, actionable, culturally relevant, and aligned with public health priorities.
At Cognition, Amy focuses on expanding the firm’s role in global and One Health communications, applying a systems-thinking approach to projects that advance equity, sustainability, and collaboration. She leads internal strategies, stewards business development, and directs high-performing teams of creative and technical partners across content, design, and digital platforms.
Amy holds a Master of Arts in International Development and a Certificate in Global Health Affairs from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.
